Dear Friend:

On Saturday, September 19, 2009, people and organizations from across the country will join hands and converge in Washington D.C. for the third annual Stomp Out Sickle Cell Walk 2009. This walk represents our communities’ continued support towards finding a cure and advanced research/treatment for Sickle Cell disease. Through corporate, organization and individual sponsorship, let us demonstrate what caring and compassion can accomplish.

Your support of this critical fundraiser will significantly affect its cost effectiveness and ability to show thousands of walkers that singular corporations and organizations in the Washington, D.C. capital area and around the nation do chose compassion over complacency. Your generous support benefit local and national SICKLE CELL disease organizations’ case management, education, prevention and counseling programs.

With this letter, we ask you to serve as a Sponsor of the Stomp Out Sickle Cell Walk 2009.

Though the face of SICKLE CELL disease continues to change, the need for funding has not diminished. An increasing number of children and adults find themselves living with SICKLE CELL disease each year. There is no cure or vaccine.

In short, SICKLE CELL DISEASE is not over. Our work must go on.

Enclosed you will find information on sponsorship opportunities and benefits. Should you have any questions, please feel free to call me a 202-806-6329.

We thank you for considering our request. With your support of the Stomp Out Sickle Cell Walk 2009, you will affirm our commitment to remain steadfast in the hope that one day we will find a cure for Sickle Cell Disease. To find out more, please visit our official website at www.soswalk.org.
