  • Set Up
    Help off load and set up Walk material at the event site.  Some heavy lifting.
    Supervised teenagers,   Report at 6:00AM

  • Host  Volunteers (Point Man)
    These volunteers are needed to point walkers in the right direction as the exit the metro station.  We need volunteers at the Metro Station, Outside the Station pointing volunteers in the right direction.

  • Start Line
    Assist the Walk staff with getting the Walk started smoothly.

  • Start Line Water Stop
    Help fill cups with water and distribute to participants. Clean up during and after Walk participants pass your area.   Supervised pre-teens and teenagers

  • Children's National Medical Center Half-Way Mark
    Help fill cups with water and distribute to participants. Clean up during and after Walk participants pass your area.     
    Supervised pre-teens and teenagers

  • Finish Line Water Stop
    Help hand out bottled water to participants. Clean up during and at the close of the event. Supervised pre-teens and teenagers

  • Finish Line
    Assist Walk Staff with a smooth finish to the Walk, to include cheering on walkers.

  • Logistics Team
    This is an emergency/inclusive logistics team that will respond to any of the venues on Race Day that need help. Supervised Teenagers

  • Volunteer Welcome Area
     Direct volunteers to their assigned locations.
  • Sponsor Area
    Responsible for greeting and checking all sponsors, guests and VIPs off the guest list and handing out wristbands.

  • PR/Media Area
    Assist Race media personnel. 

  • T-Shirt Area
    Responsible for handing out shirts and bibs to Walk participants.

  • Vendor Area
    Responsible for greetings Vendor.  Responsible for registering vendor and ensuring vendor is at assigned area

  • Medical Area
    Direct injured participants to the correct medical care.   (Nurse and Other Medical Professionals needed)

  • Kids Area
    Assist with kids activities: face painting, arts & crafts,

  • Information Tent and Lost & Found
    Give out information about Walk and take in and out lost and found items. Supervised teenagers

  • Stage
    Rounding up all stage speakers, handing out scripts, keeping speakers in order of appearance on stage. Must attend dry run prior to Walk Day.
     
  • Stage Security
    Maintain safety and security around stage and backstage areas. 

  • Expo
    Assist vendors with set up and tear down.    Supervised teenagers
